Snap Mail can notify you in three different ways when mail arrives:
1) A sound can be played on your Mac’s speaker. This sound can be different depending on whether the mail is a letter, an alert, a return receipt, returned mail, or a talk request.
2) A flashing icon can appear over the Apple menu. The particular icon sent is decided on by the sender of the mail.
3) An alert box can pop up indicating that you have mail. This notification will include the sender’s name and the subject line of the mail.
Upon notification of mail arrival, you can bring up Snap Mail by choosing “Snap Mail” from the Apple menu or by using the “hot key” sequence Cmd-Shift-S.
